Established in 2022, La Maison des Artistes is a woman-owned studio created by tattoo artist and founder, Lauren Smith - whom you may also know as, ‘Loz’.
After working in a number of studios over the years, she felt compelled to create an artist-forward space in Vancouver, with artist and client care at the forefront. Loz set out to build a studio that stood apart from others—to create an environment where collaboration and creativity thrive, free from egos and hierarchy - all too common features within the industry.
The desire to create a safe, and truly supportive space for both artists and clients was simple in nature—yet proved somewhat difficult to find along the way.
Having prior experience managing successful restaurants, Loz understood the importance of not only creating a strong team-dynamic, but creating the foundations of an environment that would attract like-minded artists with a common goal to elevate the modern experience of the tattoo industry, and the types of experiences those have in it, for birth artists & clients.

In just a few years, La Maison bloomed and is now home to more than 12 resident artists and a number of guest artists hailing from across the globe.
This expansion reflects not only our commitment to growth of our environment, but also allows us to provide a strong portfolio of artists that specialize in a wide-range of different styles - so no matter your preferences - we’ve got you covered!
With a humble start, La Maison established a strong foothold in Vancouver’s tattoo scene and has solidified its’ reputation as one of Vancouver’s premier tattoo spaces.
From flash day events, to markets and more - we seek to connect with the wider community and look to celebrate art in all its forms. As we continue to grow, we remain focused on upholding our standards of excellence, ensuring that both our artists and clients feel valued and inspired.
